Monitoring, recovery and restart automation
To set up a partner connection, various parameters are configured identically on both endpoints. If they don't match, the connection cannot be established. Partner Connect simplifies installation by requesting only the relevant information and extending the rest of the configuration automatically. If an inconsistency remains, intelligent tunnel monitoring analyzes the state and returns a clear, easy-to-understand error message.
Active monitoring measures the quality of each connection and identifies issues. If both endpoints end up in an inconsistent state, communication fails even though the connection is still up, and such states are detected and recovered automatically. If a connection cannot be recovered or restarted, it is escalated automatically, and an expert on our 24/7 operations team begins immediate investigation to ensure consistent configuration and stable connections.
Connection insights and statistics
Partner Connect statistics are generated in real time, showing tunnel status and a detailed view. Intelligent tunnel monitoring distinguishes the tunnel state as up, slow or down, and real-time analysis in an on-screen comment field helps you understand its performance.
If a host at the partner site can be used for monitoring, our Customer Portal provides the same information as for a VPN tunnel in the WAN: usage, RTT and packet loss for each tunnel.
